A mission: to free the hand
DualPicks® is the result of a journey of research, listening, and continuous improvement.
Every version arises from a real problem. Every choice stems from an observed gesture.
DualPicks is not an idea that became a product
It's a problem that has become a solution

Why evolution matters
The hand is not the same for everyone.
Every musician has a different gesture, a different tension, a different history.
And that's precisely what makes it complex.
DualPicks couldn't have been born in a single attempt.
It required listening, making mistakes, and repeated field tests.
Because when you work with your hands, the right shape isn't designed: it's discovered.
The Evolution of DualPicks
DualPicks isn't the result of a single successful project.
It's the result of a journey of continuous fixes and improvements.
Each version has taught us something.
Every detail has been mastered.

2019
Intuition
The first prototype wasn't made from an industrial material, but from a simple, instinctive solution: velcro, threaded through special slots to secure the system to the hand.
Only one thing was needed: to see if the idea actually worked.

2020
Freedom on the plectrum
The work focuses on a specific point: how to use the pick with DualPicks without imposing limitations on the musician.
Various solutions are tested, including an interlocking system, later discarded because it would have restricted use to specific pick shapes.
The final choice is simple and intentional: the guitarist continues to use his own pick, securing it to the DualPicks' fin with double-sided gel tape.
No proprietary picks. No compromise on gesture.

2021
Comfort and wear
The fastening system evolves: from Velcro to an elastic plastic strap, chosen to improve comfort and fit.
The shape is still very different from the current one, more complex and structured, while the rest of the system begins to approach the final concept.
It is at this stage that the focus shifts clearly to the fit and feel, paving the way for subsequent evolutions.

2022
Shape and ergonomics
The study converged on a basic geometry: the triangle.
A functional choice, born from observation of the hand, to improve the natural angles of the gesture and make the movement more ergonomic.
This phase also saw the creation of the end stop, integrated into the product's structure, which limits the retraction of the flap and ensures the gesture is always controlled and recoverable.
Form and ergonomics begin to work together here.

2023
Durability and adaptability
The fin becomes flexible to withstand stress over time.
The adaptability for left-handed users has been improved and the definitive packaging has been defined.
The product adapts to the hand, not the other way around.

2024
Listening and fluency
Musicians' feedback drives further refinements.
The end stop is softened, the rotation made smoother, and research begins on its use on the index finger, a request especially from bass players.

2025 Q1
Miniaturization and precision
After years of testing and real-world use, the project is entering a synthesis phase.
DualPicks is reduced in size by approximately 50%, becoming lighter, less bulky, and even more natural to wear.

2025 Q2
Free movement
After extensive testing, the ultimate TPU is identified: soft, elastic, and durable.
The fin is thinned by 40%, reducing bulk and making the pick movement less stiff, more fluid, and more maneuverable.
The gesture becomes more natural, even when used on the index finger.
The color palette is expanded.

2025 Q3
Signature & identity
The first Signature DualPicks version is born with the Bonaccia.
The same attention to gesture and hand, expressed in a shared artistic identity.
The glow-in-the-dark material becomes a distinctive feature.

Today and Tomorrow
Beyond music
DualPicks continues to evolve beyond music.
The same attention to the hand opens up new gestures and new tools, while keeping its mission intact: to liberate movement.
The hand is the reference. Always.
Each iteration is born from the study of movement and how tension changes during the gesture: comfort, control and continuity.
Hand movement
DualPicks follows the natural movement of the hand without imposing a fixed position.
It allows for fluid transitions between different techniques, maintaining control but leaving the gesture free and continuous.
Reduction of fatigue
By reducing forced grips and repetitive movements, DualPicks helps reduce tension during play.
The result is a feeling of greater lightness and comfort, even during longer sessions.
Adaptability to different fingers
Every hand is different.
DualPicks adapts to different shapes and sizes and can be used on both the thumb and index finger, distributing pressure in a natural and non-invasive way.

Every improvement comes from real use, not from hypotheses.
DualPicks has been tested and refined with different musicians, in real-world contexts:
- Guitarists (acoustic and electric)
- Bass players (techniques such as slap and hybrid)
- Left-handed
- Musicians with specific needs for comfort and control
The result is an evolution driven by gesture, not by marketing.

One project, many different hands.
Over time, DualPicks has integrated adaptations born from real needs:
- Versions and adjustments for left-handed people
- Optimized use also on the index finger
- Support for different techniques (fingerstyle, slap, hybrid)
The mission does not change: what changes is the precision with which it adapts to the gesture.
Behind every final form, there is a lot of invisible work
These images tell the story of the project that's usually hidden.
Imperfect prototypes, discarded shapes, solutions that didn't work as expected.
They were crucial to understanding what the hand didn't need.
Each mistake removed complexity, each version brought DualPicks closer to its essential form.
DualPicks is a mature solution today.
Ultimate materials, optimized geometries, and a user experience built over time: lighter, more natural, more controllable.
A protected project. To continue innovating.
DualPicks is the result of a protected research and development process.
Protecting the idea allows for continuous investment in improvements, new variants, and collaborations, maintaining the project's high quality over time.

The gesture comes before the instrument.
DualPicks will continue to evolve beyond music, bringing the same attention to the hand to new contexts and new instruments.
DualPicks wasn't born in a day.
It was born by listening to the hand, prototype after prototype.
Why creativity should never stop
